research/refactor: prepare code for an easier svelte v5 migration

Migrating to svelte v5 is hard enough.
We can reduce the pain by

• check code in general for svelte best-practices
• do research regarding patterns which might be easier to migrate than the current code
• create multiple PRs to adjust the code for easier migration
