Opening and closing selection don't match

When I press alt-shift-w the p tags are created, but the opening p tag is not selected, making it impossible to edit the tag in sync with the closing tag. The character one space to the left is selected. The closing p tag is selected as it should be.

I have been using this package myself heavily (on macOS) and never had such problem. Could you verify your Atom version and let me also know which platform (Win/macOS/Linux) are you running Atom on?
