Viva WebPlayer can't handle empty tags

(Some? All?) empty tags like <description type="string"></description> breaks the Viva player. Tags like <autodescription_youcansee_newline /> are ok.

I'm gonna need more info on this one, what do you mean "breaks the Viva player", what error do you see?

It would help me understand the issue if you could attach an example .aslx file here. I can't make out what the Discord link is pointing at specifically.

I tried creating an example file myself by updating blank.aslx:

    <object name="player" />
    <object name="blah">
      <description type="string"></description>
    </object>
  </object>

but that works fine

(I note that defaultobject contains a blank descriptionstring anyway)

It seems the fix to ignore unexpected line breaks also handles this. EDIT It throws the error and ignores it now.

When Pertex posted that test file, this would throw an error and the game would stop responding.

He can't see the detailed errors. All he sees is this in the browser console:

When I run it from the online docker image, the same happens on my end. (I usually run it using --build rather than using the online image.)

When running it from the online image, I can only see the detailed errors in my docker console (but I don't think Pertex has this in his console?):
