What is Goose?

Goose is an open-source iOS app that reads biometric data from your WHOOP device via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and persists it to a self-hosted FastAPI + TimescaleDB server — no dependency on WHOOP's cloud infrastructure.

Install

Goose is distributed as an unsigned IPA via AltStore. You do not need a paid Apple Developer account.

1. Install AltStore on your iPhone
2. Add the Goose source in AltStore:

   https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tigercraft4/goose/main/altstore-source.json
   

3. Install Goose from the source
4. Refresh every 7 days (free AltStore account limit)

First run

• Open Goose and complete onboarding (name, height, weight)
• Grant Bluetooth permission when prompted
• Pair your WHOOP device from the Device tab
• Data starts flowing automatically once paired
