Remembering scan settings

For each parameter, the frontend of ICON should "remember" the scan settings set by the last use of this parameter.

Currently, the frontend remembers the scan info per experiment and not per experiment and parameter. It is stored in the browser cache.
It would be important to define what exactly you want.
Would you like to have a global scan setting per parameter that is shared between all experiments (only for global parameters, of course)?
Or would you like to remember the scan settings per parameter per experiment?

I would like it to remember the scan settings per parameter per experiment. This was the behaviour in ionizer, and I think it was quite handy as different experiments can do different things, and the parameters can then be scanned in a different way per experiment.

How important is it to keep the settings? At the moment, clearing local data in the browser would clear all scan settings. It doesn't seem terribly important to keep the data, it's more a convenience feature. So, that's probably fine?

It's very convenient when calibrating, I think it would save us quite a lot of time :) We could have a local config file where we would keep all current settings maybe?
In my opinion that's one of the most important current missing features of ICON ! :)
