[Feature Request] Clear Completed Tasks

It would be nice if there was a way to clear all completed tasks.

I synced some of my task lists via CalDAV and some of my lists have 100+ completed tasks. Having a "clear all completed tasks" would make this easier to delete the completed tasks compared to manually clicking on delete for each.

We currently have a Delete events when tasks are completed option. People might not want to always have it auto delete. Having an option to click would be nice as we can delete completed tasks in specific lists/calendars

Thanks for the FR. It's not something I'm excited about (I do everything I can to avoid data loss) but I can see how it can be useful.

I guess we could have a delete completed tasks after x days option (global or in a new per-calendar setting?). And/or for a one time deletion maybe a command like ##DELETE ALL COMPLETED TASKS IN <CALENDAR_NAME> s.t. it doesn't clutter the UI and there is no way to accidentally press it.

I'm a little bit confused about your last paragraph. The calendar events (VEVENT) and tasks (VTODO) are two different data points / formats. Calendar events are auto-generated / modified / deleted from tasks by Cfait (with a warning in the event's description). When we Delete events when tasks are completed or Delete all calendar events, no actual data loss occur. Those events can all be re-generated by activating Create calendar events for tasks with dates again (so long as the tasks still exist.)

Sorry, that was my fault. I misread the settings. I thought it was `Delete tasks when tasks are completed

there is no way to accidentally press it.

If we have a clear all completed button, it definitely should have a confirmation prompt. That's what all of my other Tasks apps does to prevent people from accidentally deleting.

Do you think that making it a command to be typed in the smart input bar would be an acceptable solution?
This way it wouldn't clutter the settings interface and it would still work in the spirit of the application (everything should be doable from the smart input bar), and it acts as a confirmation in itself since there is no way to accidentally type that.

I've added delete all done/canceled tasks feature !6 url:https://github.com/trougnouf/cfait/issues/6 #cfait in my todo list, although I probably won't get it done anytime soon because I have 155 (ready) tasks in #cfait and this one is not very high-priority.
