+## Diagnosis
+
+Investigated main branch health after autonomous system flagged potential issues following work on issue #437.
+
+### Findings
+
+**Main Branch Status: ✅ HEALTHY**
+
+1. **CI Status**: All GitHub Actions passing (10+ consecutive green builds)
+2. **Quality Gates**:
+   - ✅ Tests: 816/816 passing
+   - ✅ Build: Successful (TypeScript + Vite frontend)
+   - ✅ Typecheck: No errors
+   - ✅ Lint: 0 errors (26 warnings - acceptable)
+
+3. **Issue #437 Status**: PR #475 is open but NOT merged
+   - The issue description mentioned "main failed verification after merging issue #437"
+   - However, PR #475 for issue #437 has never been merged
+   - Main branch does not contain any changes from #437
+
+### Root Cause
+
+**False alarm** - The autonomous system created this recovery issue based on a transient condition or worktree setup issue. The main branch was never actually broken.
+
+### Resolution
+
+1. Verified all quality gates pass on current main
+2. Confirmed CI is green (all recent builds successful)
+3. Restored clean worktree state (removed stray package-lock.json changes)
+4. Documented findings for future reference
+
