Describe the bug
Both 4.02 and 4.03 are exhibiting severe network slowdowns/blockages. Chrome refresh of pages like nbcnews.com, don't complete or take extremely long (> 2 minutes - takes < 3 seconds with 4.01 or firewall disabled). Android Play Integrity checks (e.g., with Play Integrity API Checker or Simple Play Integrity Checker) do not complete; Google Wallet inoperable due to its own PI-type check failing.
4.01 does not exhibit this, works perfectly.

Additional context
As noted in the description, the issue was introduced as of 4.02, as 4.01 did not exhibit the problem. I verified this by fully uninstalling AFWall, then installing 4.01 - worked fine. I then uninstalled 4.01, reinstalled both 4.02 and 4.03 (one at a time, with full uninstalls in-between), saw the problems listed in the bug report.
I've made no other software changes. Android 14 has been extremely stable on this phone, and I also tested with a different app providing per-app blocking - it worked fine, no performance issues.
Attached are screenshots showing the issue. PI checks (including both several Play Store apps and the built-in Play Store PI checker) run fine with either 4.01 or the alternate app. Similar for nbcnews.com (and other news sites) - issues loading/reloading the sites only appear in 4.02 and 4.03.
Screenshots are using 4.03, 4.02 had same results. Running AFWall+ in Block mode, only one application (VLC) set to be blocked. When running properly (e.g., 4.01), the browser refresh completes before I could set up a screenshot (the screenshot shows the progress bar stuck), and a PI check returns results similarly quickly (running a 1Gbps WAN connection and WiFi 6).
