BookOrbit Sync and/or Dashboard Support?

Hi,

I'm giving BookOrbit a try as a potential replacement for Calibre Web Automated. They recently added a KOReader dashboard that allows you to browse your BookOrbit library, download books, and sync progress and highlights.

The sync works by setting up a custom sync server. I entered that server URL into Crosspoint's KOReader sync setting but it won't authenticate.

I assume the X4 isn't capable of full support for the BookOrbit dashboard, but is it within scope to enable the sync to work?

I've gotten Book Orbit's KOReader sync to work. It does work better with http instead of https and the book has to already be in your Book Orbit library.

Thanks for the reply! I just removed the S in the Crossink koreader sync settings and it still won't authenticate. I am using it through a Cloudflare tunnel if that makes a different. Do I need my local IP for it to work?

ETA: FWIW, the sync between KOReader on my Kobo works through the tunnel.

Ah, the cloudflare tunnel might be redirecting it too many times, and on this device every redirect requires memory and with the memory of a goldfish that can fail

What address are you using on your X4? It doesn't work with the plain bookorbit address provided, you need to append /api/v1/koreader

I was also having some issues with BookOrbit progress sync and catalog browsing so I created a fork with a dedicated BookOrbit integration, you can check it out if you’re interested.

My understanding is that many issues I was facing with the current OPDS and KOReader sync current integrations are network / memory issues that will be fixed in the next v1.5.0 release.

However I’m planning on integrating a reading stats synchronization with BookOrbit soon so the fork might still have an interest.

This is great news! I love this community. However I have an issue, I entered my credentials via the hotspot connection and it doesn't work. When I try to navigate to settings on the device itself, I can't get to that option anymore. The new "BookOrbit" item has pushed Settings off screen and when I scroll up or down, it just scrolls past it. Anything I can try? (I wouldn't have posted this in your repo but I don't see an "Issues" tab)

ETA: I deleted the OPDS server I had saved and it move Settings back onto the screen, but it still skips past it when I try to navigate to it.
