XTC are just image files. The best place to incorporate that plugin style's edits is before your file becomes an XTC file. So basically have it get converted into the panels you're looking for and then turn it into an XTC file. Not sure how you'd do it but that's outside the scope of the firmware |

I am using KOReader on my Kobo device, and there I use the plugin Panels+, which let's you read CBZ mangas in guided view. You can see examples of it in action in above link. Maybe this could serve as inspiration.
I imagine this could be a mode that could be enabled or disabled when reading XTCs in Crossink. I think this would make mangas and comics enjoyable and legible to read on a <= 4 inch screen, since there would be one panel per page.
I don't know if this functionality is in the scope of this fork, or if it is possible to implement. I just wanted to share this idea. :)
