I’ve been using CrossInk on my XTEINK X3 and really enjoy the additional features compared to the stock firmware. However, I’ve noticed a few issues with image viewing and screen refresh:
• There is a noticeable brief screen flicker/flash when turning pages while reading. The stock firmware feels smoother and doesn’t seem to have this noticeable flicker.
• Image quality in CrossInk doesn’t look as clear or as well-rendered as it does on the stock firmware.
• Images need to be converted from JPG/JPEG to BMP before I can use them, which adds an extra step. It would be great if JPG/JPEG images could be supported directly.
• When I open an image in the image viewer or use an image as a custom sleep screen, there are white margins on both sides instead of the image filling the entire screen. I tried the Crop option, but it still doesn’t seem to fill the screen properly.
I’m using an XTEINK X3. I really like CrossInk and hope these areas can be improved in future updates, especially the screen refresh smoothness and image handling.
Thank you for all the work you’ve put into CrossInk! ❤️
