The readme todo mentions "Add support for motorized tool located in the head (DC motor driver as well as position sensing through the associated IR LED ?)". I'd like to open a dedicated issue for this since it would unlock the Knife Blade, Rotary Blade, and Scoring Wheel.
My use case is that I'm cutting E-flute corrugated cardboard (~1.5mm) for structural projects. It needs the Knife Blade's multi-pass approach. Currently, it seems that the only way to use the Knife Blade is through Cricut Design Space.
I have a Maker 1, but haven't done any of the required hardware/software mods yet. I'd be interested in testing or even helping out with development, though I admit I don't have much experience in this area yet.
Would love to coordinate with anyone else interested in this.
