Description
Hi all, I'm new to Github, so apologies if not following the correct procedure for suggesting a new feature:
I'm sure that many people would find it useful if WhoColor could highlight edits by certain named editors - in any Wikipedia page as soon as it is opened in the browser.
The purpose of this would be be to alert the user that a page was edited by someone who is suspected of manipulating Wikipedia for some hidden agenda. After all, one of the main reasons for using WhoColor and WikiWho is to reveal the activity of such editors.
Currently the only way to find the work of particular editors is by looking down through all the names in every page. This feature would completely remove the need to do that.
Those editors' names would be contained in a list that could be updated at any time. The list could be created and updated manually by the user, one editor name at a time. It could alternatively be downloaded and installed as a file - containing up to several hundred names, if required.
This feature could be available under a new tab in WhoColor, labelled 'Flag' for example. Ideally there would be an option of making this the default tab that appears when WhoColor is run.
Better still, it could be activated automatically whenever a user opens any Wikipedia page (without even needing to click on 'WhoColor' as is required in the current version).
That way, this feature would mostly operate in the background, unnoticed by the user, except when it finds the work of the suspected dodgy editor. In that situation, it would display the edited section and the name - in a similar way to how WhoColor currently displays such information when the user clicks on a name.
