`iecorrect` : bug when applying correction with special characters

During the data collection, often the respondents' name was collected using brackets, for example, writing "John Doe (Papa Johnny)".

I am now trying to correct some of the names using the command iecorrect apply but I get the error(111): "Variable value contains special characters. iecorrect will run, but this may cause mismatches between the template spreadsheet and the content of the data, in which case the corrections will not be applied. It is recommended to remove special characters from the data and the template spreadsheet before running iecorrect. variable __000000 not found"

Is there any way I can use the command without changing the raw data?

The name used above was changed from email in case that was a actual name from the data collection
