
The cut-away portion of a tablature (and other elements that perform this way) occurs at the moment of drawing of that element, so that it will draw on top of a highlighting that is supposed to "fall behind" everything.
- Might be tricky solving that one without being excessive: need to draw the background before the highlighter, but then draw the actual notehead / text afterwards even though they're bound up as one action at the moment.
