It seems like clipcat supports to watch PRIMARY, SECONDARY and CLIPBOARD.
It would probably be trivial to an (optional, config-file goverened) feature to clipcatd that pushes content into the other two (or just one if so configured) buffers whenever a X11 client tells the X11 server it has clipboard content to share.
This would mimic the functionality of autocutsel.
