I have made a word template for the labels. The labels will contain all the info and I will put a nfc sticker at the back of the label. So when changing spools I only have to put the box to the reader for scanning the info.

After some struggle with soldering it finally worked with the help/suggestion of yanshay. Stupid me had swapped 2 wires (green and yellow)

I see that your AMS are not aligned with SpoolEase (left AMS shows on the right and right on the left). It's probably that way also in Bambustudio.

Note that if you want it's possible to renumber the AMS so this will be aligned. It's explained somewhere on Bambulab wiki I think. Not critical, just in case you want to.

I'm aware of that, I ordered a longer 6 pin cable so I can rearrange the setup. In the printer there is the possibility to change the order under the filament menu -> settings. One of these days the cable will be here so I can sort things out.

Finished my build yesterday - GREAT WORK @yanshay
Sadly updated my Bambu to Firmware 01.10.00.00 before building SpoolEase :(
Bambu Studio at 2.1.1.52

In Cloud Mode -> MQTT Error
In LAN Mode with Developer enabled -> SpoolEase freezes when I change Filament in Slicer (Ext) for first Tagging of Spool.

In the discussion I found nothing about that behavior and Discord Channel I couldn't find.
I'll wait for the next release(s) to see if there is anything getting better.

So I'm extremely interested in building this, but I'm looking to find out how easy/hard it is to use with the latest bambu studio update? I'd hate to spend all sorts of time and money for it to become a brick in 6 months. I currently have a P1S with 2 AMS's and am using the cloud. Am I going to have to learn a different way of using BS studio for this to work?

I am not a prophet so can't tell what's going to happen in 6 months. I can only say I think SpoolEase is great as a brick as well, even two bricks if you build the scale 😀

More seriously:

1. Changes in Bambu studio are less relevant to SpoolEase
2. Firmware updates could definitely prevent a few features from working, but will also break many other integrations which would leave Bambulab with many unhappy customers (mostly users of the HA integration which is very popular)
3. On latest firmware versions, for some features, you will need to be on LAN Only Mode + Dev Mode like other integrations and you'll miss mostly handy. With firmwares pre authorization system it's not an issue and for now no meaningful things were added in the newest features and with the shift of focus to H2D I don't see Bambulab adding too many features unless it's about upsell of new equipment.
4. In the new alpha there is quite a lot of value (inventory management with weight) that's purely spools related and not printer related, and more will be added in the future so even if Bambulab decides to kill
   Some features there is still a lot of value (I personally think that value is more meaningful than the things that could break).
5. It's really isn't very expensive so even just the fun of building and setting up is a fun experience. Well, to those who likes this stuff of soldering, printing, assembling, flashing, following instructions, resolving issues when it doesn't work, etc.

I can conform that Spoolease works with the new AMS 2 and the “old” AMS. I have 3 AMS units, 2 normal AMS and 1 AMS 2. I downgraded my X1C to firmware 1.08.02 (I can’t check the exact version at the moment because I’m on holiday).
All works fine but the X1C has the old UI and the AMS2 can’t dry with the old firmware but this doesn’t concern me.

👉 Is it possible to flash the latest alpha firmware via OTA, or is it necessary to do it manually for now?

Currently it's not possible to install the alpha OTA.
The Alpha is pretty different (to the better) and I'm afraid seamless upgrade might confuse people.

Maybe I will add a version that notifies about the special upgrade to alpha with extra confirmation buttons.

There's also no OTA inside the alpha and that's probably something I need to add but haven't got to it yet because it is still changing pretty quickly.

This is a fantastic project — kudos to the clever creator who also actively maintains it.

I was struggling to decide where to place my console and scale, as I simply didn’t have the space. I knew it needed to be close to the printers, where I interact with the AMS for loading and unloading.

I’m super proud to introduce my solution: repurposing two drawers with an embedded console case. This solved my space issue while also doubling as a functional drawer. From the outside, it’s completely seamless and easy to access — and aesthetically beautiful. From the inside, it’s fully isolated and provides a large drawer for anything you need.

One off topic question - doesn't the bottom of the Creality dryer heats up and warp the drawers below?
I have the space pi duo (or whatever it's called) and it warped whatever was below so had to install stands to make some air gap below.

Thanks. Thats actually a good question. Not sure from where this dryer releases the heat. In this setup right underneath the dryer come the build plates (not a printed layer), then the drawers. There are a lot of gaps for the hot air to escape. I have not experienced the issue but will keep an eye on it. Just in case.

Hallo, ich komme aus dem schönen Niederösterreich. Wir haben vor 1 Jahr den A1 Mini gekauft und es wurde bald mehr.
Die Konsole und die Waage ist ein super Projekt, hat etwas gedauert da manche Teile nicht verfügbar waren, aber gut Ding braucht Weile sagt man bei uns :) Mein Partner hat voriges Jahr ein eigenes Zimmer für mein Hobby gebaut. Das ist mein Druckerzimmer :) LG Michi

Nice setup.
Be aware that Console and Scale so close to one another may cause WiFi interference between them. If that happens, move them apart.
