1. Evolutionary Mechanics
The Fossil Record (Lineage Tree): A visual history tracking screen. Every time you click a parent, that biomorph is saved to a timeline, allowing players to look back and see the exact evolutionary path from a simple stick tree to a complex organism.

Mass Extinction Button: A button that introduces a catastrophic mutation event, heavily shuffling the current parent’s genome all at once to break out of a visual evolutionary dead-end.

DNA Lab (Manual Breeding): Allow the user to "lock" two separate interesting biomorphs from different generations into a lab and cross-breed them (taking half the genes from Parent A and half from Parent B) to see their hybrid offspring.

2. Gameplay & Progression
Target Evolution (The "Blind Watchmaker" Challenge): The game shows a static silhouette of a specific target shape (like a spider or a plane) in the corner. The player's goal is to see how few generations/clicks it takes them to evolve their random tree into matching that target shape.

Ecosystem Simulation: Instead of a static grid, place the biomorphs into an open sandbox where they move around. Their genes could dictate their speed, size, or behavior, and they must compete for resources or mate autonomously.

3. Visuals & Polish
Color-Linked Genotypes: Add new color genes to the DNA array. The genes could dictate the line colors, or dynamically change colors depending on how deep the recursion is (e.g., green at the tips/leaves, brown at the trunk base).

Line Thickness & Styling: Introduce genes that control line thickness gradients (tapering off at the ends) or structural modifications like drawing circles/polygons at the tips instead of just lines, allowing for "flowering" biomorphs.

Organic Animation: Use a tiny mathematical offset (like a sine wave based on time) to make the angles gently sway back and forth, making the static biomorphs look like they are breathing or pulsing underwater.

4. Shareability & UI
Genetic Sharing Codes: Compress the genome array into a short string of text (e.g., B6-A45-L12-S1). Players can copy this string to their clipboard to share their unique creations with friends, who can paste it into their own browser to load that exact creature.

Manual Gene Sliders: Add a hidden advanced panel with UI sliders that lets the player act as a "genetic engineer," manually overriding specific genes to fine-tune a creature they mostly like.
