Can't get it installed properly on my machine (macOS 10.11)

Followed the readme steps, and tried installing from the latest release .zip, but was unsuccessful. Also tried opening things in a different order just in case (opening Xcode first then Uncrustifier, opening Uncrustifier first then Xcode, opening Uncrustifier with project open and without a project open). Still seems unsuccessful (doesn't show up in my Editor menu). Deleted all old Xcode plugins in ~/Library/Application\ Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode just in case it was interfering in some way. Still unsuccessful.

Looking at Activity Monitor does not show 'Uncrustify' running as it would be during a successful installation on Xcode launch.

Running macOS 10.11.6
Xcode 8.0

Hey, does it appear in System Preferences > Extensions? You may have to check a box there to enable it in some cases.

I had same problem, but finally i could install it. If you are having trouble, try below steps.

1. build this project or get latest release.
   1. If you are building it with your signing, select Uncrustifier target as scheme and Run.
   2. If you got Uncrustifier.app, Open it.
2. The empty window will be appeared. Do not close this app. This is a key.
3. Go to System Preferences -> Extentions.
4. Now, You can find Xcode Source Editor extention, and you may select/enable it.
5. Close the empty window. restart Xcode.
6. done!

or how to build without mac team id?

@juhwang84 What version of macOS are you running? Your steps didn't work for me, unfortunately. :-\

@pcicp The mac team id is your Apple Developer Accountant's team name. You will select it in Xcode (Targets->Signing).

@elberdev I'm so sorry. 🤕 I'm using macOS 10.12.1 (may be it's a Beta). Xcode is Version 8.1 (8B62).

Unfortunately it seems like Xcode extensions are somewhat buggy on 10.11... In our office only my machine is able to use the release on macOS 10.11, presumably because I built from source. If anyone has managed to install on 10.11, please share any workarounds!

@juhwang84 our developer account don't have mac signing, only have ios.
