The APP crashes in 2 seconds after opening

Hello, I just installed your app from Microsoft store, and I'm trying to open it. After two seconds from opening, it crashes. Task Manager shows this process in the background, but I can't open the app window. Can you please help me to solve this issue? Thank you.

Hello, and thank you for the report! I'm seeing what I suspect to be that particular crash in Store metrics, but there isn't much information there - if you don't mind, with a few (admittedly somewhat involved) steps you might be able to get some more information about the crash:

• Ensure the app is closed - if possible, double check in Task Manager like you did above, and kill the Charmy process if it's there
• Open the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\12193YourOrdinaryCat.CharmyHotCornersforWindows_rq88cr1qn5wbe\RoamingState folder - you can do it by pasting the path in the File Explorer address bar, or through the Run box (Win+R)
• Remove every file already in the folder, if there's any
• Open the app - it'll probably crash again
• After it crashes, refresh the folder in File Explorer

If the app can generate more information about the crash, the folder will likely have a file or two - if that is the case, send those files over to support@yourordinarycat.com and I'll take a look. (You can also upload them here if you're comfortable, there's likely nothing sensitive in there, but better safe than sorry)

If nothing shows up in the folder, just let me know and I'll see what I can do with the metrics I have already. Thank you once again for the report!

Hello @hi4nik - I pushed what I think should be the fix for this issue, if you're not seeing it already v1.1.1 should be rolling out within the next two hours! When you're able, try downloading the update and let me know if you're still facing the issue.

I see @hi4nik - one question, has UAC (User Account Control) been disabled on your machine? I've managed to recreate the issue by doing that.

I've installed the program, and it crashes for me too. Enabling UAC fixed it, just as you mentioned :3

Is there any way to fix this in the code? Alternatives like WinXCorners work fine regardless of UAC settings.
