if you do a specific set of mouse inputs, the crafting ingredient you selected can just kind of dissapear instead of being placed.
how to replicate:
step 1: select a material
step 2: press and hold left click to place material inside of crafting grid. DO NOT LET GO OF LEFT CLICK
step 3: move your cursor so that it is both outside the crafting grid and outside the light gray box that the crafting grid is inside
step 4: select a different material.
step 5: click once (don't press and hold, just tap the button) to place the second material
step 6: the second material does not get placed in the grid square and is also no longer selected, forcing you to select it again.
