Reporting a Vulnerability

If you discover a security vulnerability in this project, please follow these steps:

Please do not open a public issue. Instead, send an email to:

Please include the following information in your report:

  • Type of vulnerability (e.g., XSS, SQL injection, etc.)
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Potential impact
  • Any suggested fixes (optional)

3. Response Time

We will acknowledge receipt of your vulnerability report within 48 hours and provide a detailed response within 7 days.

4. Disclosure Timeline

  • 0-7 days: Initial assessment and triage
  • 7-14 days: Patch development and testing
  • 14-21 days: Coordinated disclosure (if applicable)
  • 21+ days: Public disclosure (if not resolved)

Security Best Practices

For Users

Environment Variables

Never commit .env files to version control. Use the provided .env.example as a template:

API Keys

  • Store API keys in environment variables
  • Use different keys for development and production
  • Regularly rotate API keys
  • Use the minimum required permissions

SSL/TLS Certificates

  • Never commit private keys (.key, .pem files)

  • For production, use proper certificate management
