Move sources out of Surface's overlay slot into the message's vertical flow. This intentionally red regression proves that a first request which only overflows after actual tool definitions are added must be rejected before durable admission. Show blocking configuration failures through the existing persistent recovery screen instead of a duplicate overlapping Snackbar. Retain transient feedback for other errors and assert one error presentation, no dismissible overlay over retry, and a real vault re-read before successful save. The attested API36 200% short-wide window has 593dp inner width, sufficient for the 280dp editor and measured actions but below the previous breakpoint. Summary
Complete Phase 2 on the accepted v0.2.0 baseline: opt-in native Agent mode, real web search/page reading and remote MCP, isolated encrypted tool settings, exact approvals, durable activity and verified source attribution. Preserve unknown remote outcomes and prevent automatic replay.
Close the remaining defects: prepare and validate the actual first tool/image request before durable admission and reuse its snapshot; preserve drafts on rejection/cancellation; repair API36 compact/200% latest-control and whole-editor/IME geometry; adopt storage recovery, source-layout and message-scoped export fixes.

Exact release-source local JVM: 560/560, zero failures/errors/skips, including actual anonymous Exa and public HTTPS live cases. Strict lint: zero errors, 64 existing warnings. Exact-source CI 34180712711 succeeded.
Both retained AOSP31/36 devices passed all 22 Agent UI + 3 actual HTTPS model/MCP scenarios in portrait320dp/global200%, full22 UI in actual short-wide/global200%, affected ordinary composer/IME/Back/draft cases, and read-only golden-data checks. Each then passed real code35-to36 archive verification, signed replace-install, nine post-upgrade runtime/UI/data cases and a cold launch. Original six primary/backup/image hashes remain unchanged. No reseeding, uninstall, data clear or key replacement.
Original RED/compact failures and an OS-dialog-obstructed API36 attempt are retained. The latter's unchanged nine-case rerun passed with clear focus and fresh physical evidence.

Tool application HTTP/CONNECT/SOCKS proxy compatibility is explicitly deferred: use direct or a suitable system VPN; no silent fallback or weakened TLS/DNS guards. Ordinary chat proxy support remains. Keep the 96KiB image-inclusive Agent budget, bounded schema profile, no PDF/stdio/legacy standalone SSE, and no real-account/SSO acceptance claim. ChatGPT-style visual redesign remains separate Phase 3 work.
Publication is conditionally authorized after normal exact-head merge; preserve checkpoint branches and rollback tags. CI APKs remain validation-only, never release substitutes.
