Complete setup instructions for OMC, CodeGraph, and Caveman across all platforms.
- WSL (Recommended for Windows)
- Native Linux
- macOS
- Windows PowerShell
- Windows CMD / Git Bash
- Post-Install Steps
- Tool Summary
Open a WSL bash shell, then run each block:
# Step 1: OMC (agents + skills + HUD)
npm install -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest
omc setup# Step 2: CodeGraph (semantic code knowledge graph)
npm install -g @colbymchenry/codegraph
codegraph install# Step 3: Caveman (token saver + hooks)
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JuliusBrussee/caveman/main/install.sh | bashSame commands as WSL. Run in your standard terminal:
# OMC
npm install -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest
omc setup# CodeGraph
npm install -g @colbymchenry/codegraph
codegraph install# Caveman
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JuliusBrussee/caveman/main/install.sh | bashmacOS uses bash/zsh and the same Unix-based commands as Linux. Run in Terminal:
# Step 1: OMC (agents + skills + HUD)
npm install -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest
omc setup# Step 2: CodeGraph (semantic code knowledge graph)
npm install -g @colbymchenry/codegraph
codegraph install# Step 3: Caveman (token saver + hooks)
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JuliusBrussee/caveman/main/install.sh | bash- Ensure you have Node.js installed. If not, install via Homebrew:
brew install node - If
npm install -gfails with permission errors, either:- Change npm's default directory: https://docs.npmjs.com/resolving-eacces-permissions-errors-when-installing-packages-globally
- Or use
npxinstead:npx oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest(OMC setup will still work)
- Restart Claude Code after all three finish.
- Run
codegraph init -iinside each project directory you want indexed.
The irm ... | iex one-liner fails due to a PowerShell automatic $Args variable scoping bug. Use Option A (cleanest) or Option B (download-then-run).
# 1. OMC
npm install -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest
omc setup# 2. CodeGraph
npm install -g @colbymchenry/codegraph
codegraph install# 3. Caveman - bypass the buggy install.ps1 shim
npx -y github:JuliusBrussee/caveman# 1. OMC
npm install -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest
omc setup# 2. CodeGraph
npm install -g @colbymchenry/codegraph
codegraph install# 3. Caveman - save to disk first to avoid $Args conflict
$script = irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JuliusBrussee/caveman/main/install.ps1
$script | Out-File "$env:TEMP\caveman-install.ps1" -Encoding utf8
& "$env:TEMP\caveman-install.ps1"- OMC will warn about missing
tmux. This is fine - it falls back to Node.js hooks. - Optionally install
psmuxfor full tmux features:winget install psmux - Restart Claude Code after all three finish.
- Run
codegraph init -iinside each project directory you want indexed.
Treat it like WSL/Linux:
npm install -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus@latest && omc setup
npm install -g @colbymchenry/codegraph && codegraph install
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JuliusBrussee/caveman/main/install.sh | bashThere is no native curl | bash for Caveman. Use one of these:
- Best: Open Git Bash or WSL and run the bash commands above.
- Alternative: Use the PowerShell Option A from inside CMD:
powershell -Command "npx -y github:JuliusBrussee/caveman"For all platforms:
- Restart Claude Code so MCP servers, hooks, and skills load properly.
- In any project you want indexed, run:
codegraph init -i| Tool | Install Command | What It Gives You |
|---|---|---|
| OMC | npm i -g oh-my-claude-sisyphus |
19 agents, 35 skills, HUD statusline, multi-agent orchestration |
| CodeGraph | npm i -g @colbymchenry/codegraph then codegraph install |
Pre-indexed semantic code graph; 94% fewer tool calls, 100% local |
| Caveman | `curl | bash(Linux/WSL/macOS) ornpx -y github:JuliusBrussee/caveman` (Win) |
