This is my personal website, aeonovyli.github.io. And to me, that name has gained a lot of dignity.
Mostly it's a showcase for my interests, my ideas, my likes and dislikes––but mainly, it's a place for me to put work into, and put creative power into.
For example, bzflag. I like bzflag. You can play for five minutes if you like, or you can play for five hours. The only problem with it for me is the lack of players in my timezone––UTC +3. That timezone is not consistant with most of the remaining bzflag world, so I get less play than I normally would.
But that doesn't mean that I can't help it; I can put bzflag-related things on my website, make the website more dear to me and introduce more people to bzflag. I've already done quite a bit, IMO. I'm introduced five players personally, and at least twenty online. I have 21 servers running for the enjoyment of the masses, and I have at least three maps running which haven't been hosted for a long time––some as much as twenty years. Yes, bzflag is more than twenty years old. It started in 1993, with a simple computer project. I like bzflag because practically anyone who plays it is trustworthy, and not given to swearing. Of course we all have our favorite 'that was mean' phrases, but they're not dirty. My favorite one is ':(' or ':)' or even ':D' if it was a good shot.
My maps are available for download on my bzflag page. (If you want the main game look here.)
Most of the people messaging on this website are trusted friends. I haven't seen anyone who isn't, at least. I was required to wipe the database recently though, so I can't be positive...
I am a weird, quirky person. But more importantly, I like shiny.
'Shiny, watch me sparkle like a diamond in the rough! Send your armies but they'll never be enough! My shell's too tough!'
Okay, enough of that. I always get that stuck in my head when I think of that word. I like the space background, because unlike in Endless Sky I'm focusing on things other than a not brightly colored (or shaped like a dinosaur, sorry 'Disgust') in the middle of a black, hard on my eyes, void. What could go wrong?
If you want more information, I can make a page for this.
