This repository preserves historical documentation and release references for the Ai-Thinker A9/A9G AT firmware. It is a documentation repository: it does not contain the AT firmware source code or a build system.
Maintenance status: the latest published release in this repository is V1.6RC, published on 25 November 2017. Treat the material as a historical reference and verify current hardware, carrier, and regulatory requirements before deployment.
- Identify the exact module model and hardware revision.
- Read the current official A9 product specification and A9/A9G GPRS user manual.
- Review the selected Ai-Thinker AT extensions. This file is not a complete modem AT-command reference.
- Check the change history and obtain historical firmware assets from the GitHub Releases page.
- After powering a module, use
ATIto confirm the installed firmware version before applying version-specific instructions.

- Use this repository and its Releases when operating A9/A9G with AT commands.
- For application development on the module SoC, use GPRS_C_SDK and its SDK documentation.
The SDK repositories do not replace the AT firmware documentation, and this repository cannot be used to rebuild the released AT firmware.
A9/A9G relies on 2G/GPRS service. Availability, SIM provisioning, supported frequency bands, and lawful use vary by country and carrier. Confirm them locally. Stable power and the correct hardware connection are required; consult the product documents before powering or flashing a module.
