Development setup

1. Install dependencies:
   • npm install
2. Copy env template:
   • Copy-Item .env.example .env
3. Fill required Firebase values in .env.

Passkey backend (standalone)

This project uses a separate Express server for WebAuthn/passkeys:

• server file: passkey-server/server.ts
• default port: 8787

Dev run options

• Start both frontend and passkey backend together:
  • npm run dev:full
• Or run separately:
  • terminal 1: npm run dev:passkey-server
  • terminal 2: npm run dev

In dev, Vite proxies /api/passkeys to PASSKEY_SERVER_URL (default http://localhost:8787).

Production env

Frontend (.env.production):

• VITE_PASSKEY_API_URL=https://auth.pharmaintel.com (your passkey backend URL)
• VITE_API_URL=... (your core API URL)
• Firebase production keys

Passkey backend environment:

• PASSKEY_SERVER_PORT=8787
• PASSKEY_APP_ORIGIN=https://your-frontend-domain.com
• PASSKEY_RP_ID=your-frontend-domain.com

Validation commands

• Build: npm run build
• Tests: npm run test:run
