Welcome to the ScorpiUS wiki!

In this wiki, you'll find everything you need to recreate the whole project from the body to the tail, the whole source code and the required electronic components.

Every piece of the scorpion was made from cheap materials as PLA and plywood to allow you to recreate them on your own.

The electrical components are pretty cheap, mostly from Amazon and your local electronics shop too !

Source code runs on machines with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with ROS2 and Qt6 frameworks. If you want to try it, we recommend having either a dual boot setup or a full Ubuntu 24.04 machine.

Right now, our scorpion has the ability to go in a straight path (forward and backward), turn around (both left and right) and even move its tail! It has its own Qt6 GUI for path logic tuning, serial terminal and controller visual feedback. It can be controlled via multiple gaming controllers (DualShock 4, DualSense 5 and Xbox Series X) either via Bluetooth or wired connection.

This hexapod was done in the span of 4 months by our team, but it can still be upgraded a lot. So let you creativity go and impress everyone by making it even better !
