Hey, I'm Ava 👋

I build things, break things, fix them, and then add another feature.

👋 A little about me

I'm a developer who likes turning random ideas into actual software.

I mostly build with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Python, but I also like experimenting with desktop apps, audio, automation, CLI tools, themes, and weird ideas that probably didn't need to become projects.

I learn by building:

Idea → prototype → break it → fix it → add too many features → somehow ship it

I'm especially interested in the space between good engineering and a good experience — making things work well and making them enjoyable to use.

🚀 What I'm building

A local-first Python CLI for organizing image libraries by visual vibe rather than semantic meaning.

It analyzes things like brightness, saturation, contrast, color balance, and spatial features to classify images into overlapping aesthetics.

What if instead of asking “what is this picture?”, we asked “what does this picture feel like?”

A tool for turning GitHub repositories into beautiful, customizable preview images.

Next.js · React · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS

🔊 Ovrino

One of my experiments around voice, audio, and making an idea into an actual usable application.

TypeScript · Audio · Application Development

A project for working with and synchronizing music libraries.

Built around the idea that your music collection should be something you can manage, compare, and move between systems without losing control of it.

Python · Music Libraries · File Operations

🌙 Luna

One of my ongoing experiments — because apparently one project is never enough.

Python · Experimentation · Tooling

My personal portfolio and a playground for experimenting with animation, interaction, and web design.

📊 GitHub, apparently

August 2026 got a little out of hand.

  • 590 commits
  • 16 repositories
  • 146 issues opened
  • 7 repositories created
  • 120 commits in one day

And yes, most of those projects are actual projects rather than abandoned experiments. 😭

git status

still working

🌱 What I'm learning

I'm less interested in collecting technologies and more interested in getting better at building complete software.

Right now that means:

  • Writing better tests
  • Designing cleaner architectures
  • Building better CLI and developer tools
  • Improving accessibility and UX
  • Making projects faster and more reliable
  • Learning how to take a project from “it works” to “this is actually finished”

💭 My approach

Build it. Break it. Figure out why. Make it better.

I don't learn best by memorizing syntax.

I learn by having an idea, building it, discovering everything I did wrong, fixing it, and eventually realizing I've accidentally built something much bigger than the original idea.

💀 Project graveyard

Not every idea survives.

Some projects become useful tools. Some become experiments. Some work once and are never touched again.

They all count as part of the process.

📊 GitHub activity

I apparently had a productive August.

590 commits · 16 repositories · 146 issues · 7 new repositories

🔥 Most active projects

  • 🎨 VibeSorter — 150 commits
  • 📸 RepoShot — 94 commits
  • 🔊 Ovrino — 82 commits
  • 🎵 music-sync — 69 commits
  • 🧸 Cozyfolio — 53 commits
  • 🌙 Luna — 48 commits
  • 🎧 MusicPlayer — 46 commits

🧠 What I've actually been doing

Building features.
Fixing bugs.
Writing tests.
Opening issues.
Closing issues.
Refactoring things I wrote five minutes earlier.

And occasionally creating an entirely new repository instead of finishing the one I was already working on. 💀

Built with curiosity, too many tabs, and probably one more UI tweak.
