I graduated from both front-end and back-end software development bootcamps through Promineo Tech. I started my Masters program in choral conducting from Messiah University in January 2025, so time to write code has been non-existent this year. The program is filling in all the gaps in my transition from a band director to a choir director, however, and it has been a wonderful experience thus far.
🔭 Next up projects: I began a website for my marching band, who will be traveling to France in 2027 (and we need some serious $$$ flow to make that trip!) I am using a template, but customizing it is a great refresher for HTML, CSS and JS. I hope to stay on my toes so I don't have to relearn everything when I get a little bit of time back for coding.
For next summer, I want to create a dot book app for my marching band kids to use. I'm still working on my portfolio website, and purchased a domain https://whatsthehapps.dev/ for use by myself and my son, who graduated in comp sci last May. I hope between the two of us we can come up with and implement some great ideas.
🌱 I am still utilizing my software development skills to create tools that help music teachers, but it has been slow with all of my other responsibilities. 🤔 💬 Ask me about my banana flute.
