Kernel Ghost: Zero-Day Protocol is a tactical terminal-intrusion simulator. You are an elite digital phantom tasked with bypassing security layers within a hexadecimal memory environment. Your goal is to identify the correct encryption key before the system triggers a permanent lockout.

🕹️ GAMEPLAY MECHANICS

• PASSWORD CRACKING: Analyze the memory block and select the correct word.
• LIKENESS SYSTEM: Every failed attempt provides a "Likeness" score, indicating how many characters are in the exact correct position. Use logic to narrow down the possibilities.
• MEMORY DUMPS (JOKERS): Identify matching bracket pairs (e.g., <#%>, [...], {&}) to trigger a dump.
  • 50% Chance: System allowance restored (attempts reset).
  • 50% Chance: Security interference (you lose 1 attempt).
• LOCKOUT PROTOCOL: You start with a limited number of attempts (4 to 6). Reaching 0 attempts will trigger a system purge and end your session.

🚀 GAME MODES

• [C] CAMPAIGN MODE: A 100-level operation. Security complexity increases every level—words become longer (4 to 6 characters), the list grows, and the "The Warden" AI reduces your joker success rate as you progress.
• [E] ENDLESS MODE: Pure infiltration. Select your security level (1 to 8) at the start. The difficulty remains constant throughout the run, allowing you to test your speed and logic for the global highscore.
• [H] HIGHSCORE TRACKING: Local encrypted logging of your greatest breaches, including name, mode, difficulty, and date.
