FAQ

What is a market war room dashboard?

A war room dashboard is a command-center style display that aggregates the most important market data points into a single view. Instead of checking multiple websites and apps, you see everything — indices, sentiment, volatility, sector performance, and upcoming catalysts — in one place.

How does the Fear & Greed Index work?

The CNN Fear & Greed Index combines seven market indicators (stock price momentum, stock price strength, stock price breadth, put/call ratio, junk bond demand, market volatility, and safe haven demand) into a single score from 0 (Extreme Fear) to 100 (Extreme Greed). It helps gauge whether the market is overvalued or undervalued based on investor emotions.

What is the VIX and why does it matter?

The VIX (CBOE Volatility Index) measures the market's expectation of 30-day forward-looking volatility based on S&P 500 options prices. A VIX below 15 generally indicates complacency, 15-25 is normal, and above 25 signals elevated fear. Spikes in the VIX often coincide with market selloffs.

How often is the dashboard updated?

Market data updates in real time during trading hours. Pre-market and after-hours data is also reflected. Economic calendars and earnings schedules are updated as events are announced or completed.
