Suggestion for query builder

I saw that the query builder suggest general terms based on term occurrences. But I think it's more useful to have query-dependent query builder. For instance, when I search for "new york" and couldn't find any related document in a sub-corpus, I would like to find a similar query that help me to retrieve some relevant terms. So I believe the query builder should be query-dependent. and it would be much better if it becomes personalized (I mean based on my search history).
