Summary

  • run the OpenAI API adapter through the shared Pi agent loop while preserving Convera tool execution and sandbox boundaries
  • make background memory curation provider-neutral, including follow-active for API providers
  • preserve lifecycle hooks through workspace/Agent Host wrappers and expose real JSON schemas to Pi tools
  • add settings UI and regression coverage for the provider and memory paths

Verification

  • 580 tests passed; 1 environment-gated test skipped
  • lint completed with 0 errors and 10 existing warnings
  • source typecheck passed with skipLibCheck
  • Electron renderer/main build and automation packaging completed
  • real Electron OpenAI learn -> background curate -> recall flow passed
  • Fireworks missing-key degraded path persisted an explicit failed job without blocking the foreground turn

Boundaries

  • real Claude was not invoked
  • Fireworks endpoint was not invoked because no API key was configured
  • the repository standard package typecheck still encounters existing third-party declaration incompatibilities
