Improve GUI responsiveness and Linux font sizing

Summary

• keep Tk updates on the main loop and reuse the initialized preview pipeline
• add a font-size control that updates rendered text without changing widget scaling
• use scalable Tk-visible fonts on Linux instead of the fixed bitmap fallback
