The dark variant gives a light website hero near-black type on a dark ground #1100
A token set whose website hero is light with dark type gets an unreadable pair in its generated dark variant: the ground turns dark and the title and body colours are snapped to #111111.
Examples on development:
css/tokens/dark/esdoornveen.css: --nldesign-hero-background-color: #141414 with --nldesign-hero-title-color: #111111 and --nldesign-hero-body-color: #111111.
The generator prints "contrast repair could not reach 4.5:1 within the bounded search; snapped ... to #111111" for these. It looks as if the hero foregrounds are repaired against the light ground, or the repair picks the dark end for a ground that has itself gone dark.
No page shows it today, because the portal site loads no dark layer. It becomes visible the day it does.
Wanted: the hero title and body colours in the dark variant reach 4.5:1 against the dark hero ground, with a test over every set that names hero tokens.
