Setup
To start the game setup process, you need to get a block of bedrock to mark yourself as game Administrator.
/give Steve bedrock
The first prompt will be for the number of teams playing, with options for 2, 4, and 8.
If you wish to run multiple games in the same world, you can run 2 games of 4 teams, or 4 games of 2 teams after setting up for an 8 team game, otherwise, you will have to create a new world to run a new game.
The next prompt for "Stage 1" will test the terrain height at the team spawn locations.
You will need to wait at least 10 seconds for this to be successful unless you want to have the teams spawn a hundred blocks in the air. After about 5 seconds, click "Stage 2" to create the spawn platforms.
You will next be given the option of how to assign teams. "Manual" will give you coloured concrete blocks, corresponding to the available teams to give a player a concrete block of a given colour to assign them to that team.
All unassigned players will be randomly assigned at the start of the game.
Selecting "Random" will apply this to all players.
The last option is for game time. The default is 60 minutes, so if that is the desired duration, you don't need to specify it.
Other options given are 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 minutes.
As the game runs, titles will be shown periodically to indicate the remaining time.
Click the "Ready" prompt to begin the game.
As the Game Master, you will be spectating and moderating the game, and if needed, getting players out of trouble if they get stuck.
The game setup is designed to find the terrain height, so teams won't be stuck inside a mountain, but the x/z coordinates are fixed, so they can potentially end up in the middle of an ocean.
If this happens you should look around the are to find the nearest useful landmass and direct them to it, and potentially provide them with a couple of boats.
