Why the library includes debug functions

This library is supposed to be part of a bigger library and is not really supposed to be a full stand-alone product. And bigger libraries need at least a basic debugging system to make bug tracking and optimization of a larger system viable.

Splitting of the debug functions

The debug functions provided by the library are split internally into two segments: debug functionality mainly for logging the code-flow and debug functionality for timing the duration of code elements. The logging functionality is mainly for debugging errors as it can record what happens in what order in the code, while the timing functionality is mainly for optimizing the code as it allows for nearly accurate timing of the duration each section of the code takes.
