I'm an ASU student studying Computer Science (Software Engineering) and Math at Arizona State University. I specialize in software engineering for safety-critical embedded systems in the aerospace industry, but I'm always looking to broaden my skillset and learn cool things outside my main area of emphasis.
I'm an intern at Garmin, where I have the privilege of working on their integrated flight decks. This is my second summer there, and I've really enjoyed my time with them!
I'm currently the avionics lead at Sun Devil Rocketry. The avionics team builds and programs custom computers for both the high power rocketry and liquid propulsion research projects undertaken by the rest of the team. I oversee seven teams working on everything from PCB design to Javascript programming. I'm responsible for inter-team coordination and the primary point of contact for any project in the organization who wants anything done with electronics.
I'm also directly leading the firmware team. We're responsible for writing all of the embedded software/firmware for SDR's purpose-built computers, such as the flight computer and liquid engine controller. It's been a great exposure to project management to get to work with such a dedicated team and play a central role in guiding our goals. On the technical side, I specialize in the application architecture, flight logic, and flash memory, but I've been all around our codebase and I'm always trying to learn more. If you're an ASU student with interests in embedded systems, firmware, real-time operating systems, software architecture, C programming, Python programming, or literally anything else you see on the organization's page: reach out to me and join us!
