Summary

  • create_tokens_batch had no upper bound on tokens.len() before iterating and deploying each entry, unlike other unbounded-input surfaces in the same file (MAX_FEE_SPLIT_RECIPIENTS, MAX_TOKENS_BY_CREATOR_PAGE).
  • docs/contract-abi.md already documented a recommended max batch size of 20 (resource exhaustion observed at 30), but it was enforced only client-side in frontend/src/utils/validation.ts, which a caller invoking the contract directly (Stellar CLI, another dApp, a modified frontend) could bypass entirely.
  • Adds pub const MAX_BATCH_SIZE: u32 = 20 and a new Error::BatchSizeExceeded variant (code 24) to contracts/token-factory/src/lib.rs, checked immediately after the empty-batch check and before any per-item validation or deployment work begins.
  • Updates docs/contract-abi.md's error table and "Batch size limits and resource costs" section to describe the cap as contract-enforced rather than a recommendation.
  • Updates the frontend's MAX_BATCH_SIZE doc comment to point at the contract as the source of truth.

Closes #1100

Test plan

  • Verified every existing create_tokens_batch test in contracts/token-factory/src/test.rs uses batch sizes ≤ 2, so none are affected by the new cap.
  • Verified the new check is placed before the existing token_count overflow check, preserving test_create_tokens_batch_overflow_protection_upfront's expected ArithmeticOverflow result for its 2-token batch.
  • Verified scripts/check-abi-doc-drift.sh and scripts/check-validation-drift.sh (CI drift-checks job) still pass: the new Error::BatchSizeExceeded variant is documented in docs/contract-abi.md, and MAX_BATCH_SIZE isn't part of the validation-bounds drift check (only name/symbol/decimals bounds are).
  • Frontend test suite (npm run test -- --run) passes: 702/702.
  • No Rust toolchain was available to run cargo build/cargo test/cargo fmt --check locally — please confirm the contract-build, contract-test, and contract-fmt CI jobs pass on this PR.

create_tokens_batch had no upper bound on batch length before deploying
each entry, even though docs/contract-abi.md already documented a
recommended max of 20 (measured resource exhaustion at 30) and the
frontend enforced it client-side only. A caller invoking the contract
directly (Stellar CLI, another dApp) could bypass that entirely and pay
for a resource-exhaustion failure instead of a clean typed error.

Adds a contract-level MAX_BATCH_SIZE = 20 constant and a new
Error::BatchSizeExceeded variant, checked before any per-item validation
or deployment work begins. Updates docs/contract-abi.md's error table and
batch-size section to describe the cap as contract-enforced, and points
the frontend's MAX_BATCH_SIZE comment at the contract as the source of
truth.
