Temporary. Answers one question: does main's own suite still pass on GitHub's current runner image, or has the environment drifted since the last green run on 31 August? Delete this branch once it has answered.

Answered its question: main's own tree fails the same way on today's runner (dev-middleware.test.ts, ECONNREFUSED 5173). Pre-existing environment drift, not anything in PR #8. |
