main already signs with GLYNDOR_RELEASE_ED25519_KEY (the rename landed separately) while updater.go still embedded 3eSCGskG — the same trap podup hit: signing with the new key, verifying against the old one. Embed HFv7, with the trailing '=' Go's base64.StdEncoding requires.

Rebased onto current main and reduced to the one commit that matters; the README commit was dropped because rebasing it would have reverted #35 and re-added the competitor comparison table the anti-advertising rule forbids.
