H-Mateus/README.md

Hi 👋

I’m a Computational Biologist / Data Analyst based in the UK, working with high-dimensional biomedical data (multi-omics, single-cell, proteomics, and EHR).
I care about reproducible research, clean workflows, and building analysis pipelines that are easy to understand, run, and extend.

Toolbox (stuff I use a lot)

Core R Python Bash Git

Workflows / Reproducibility Nextflow Docker Apptainer Quarto

HPC / Data Linux SLURM PostgreSQL SQL

Editor Neovim

What I do

  • 🧬 Multi-omics & single-cell analysis (e.g., snRNA-seq / scRNA-seq, proteomics)
  • 📈 Statistical modelling for biomedical questions (Bayesian + frequentist)
  • ⚙️ Reproducible pipelines on HPC (workflow automation, containers, version control)
  • 🧑‍🏫 Training & community (R teaching, reproducibility workshops, open science)

Current interests

  • Single-cell analysis with reproducible workflows
  • Practical modelling for clinical/biomedical datasets (EHR + omics)
  • Advocating for better research practises by promoting reproducibility and open science!

If you’d like to collaborate on omics analysis, workflows, or teaching materials, feel free to reach out.
