AXON is a high-resilience, open-source orchestration framework designed to bridge advanced cognitive models (LLM/VLM) with complex robotic execution layers. Acting as the "digital nervous system" of autonomous entities, AXON provides a secure, audited environment for deploying AI-driven mobility and autonomy solutions.
The project is built on two strategic pillars: Technical Sovereignty, ensuring independence from proprietary black-box ecosystems, and Social AI, focusing on the ethical enhancement of human autonomy through inclusive robotics.
The AXON architecture is governed by three non-negotiable principles:
- Decoupled Interoperability: Strict separation between the reasoning engine and the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) to prevent vendor lock-in.
- Deterministic Latency: High-performance processing pipelines ensuring that cognitive intentions are translated into robotic actions with sub-millisecond predictability.
- Security by Design: A minimal attack surface with integrated telemetry, designed for operation in critical and sensitive environments.
AXON is engineered to align with European institutional standards, including the EU AI Act and GDPR frameworks. By utilizing open-source infrastructures and transparent governance-aware system design, it ensures that critical decision-making processes remain accountable, auditable, and sovereign.
- Environment: Requires Python 3.10+ and C++17 build tools.
- Setup: ```bash
git clone https://github.com/[YOUR-ORG]/axon.git
cd axon
pip install -e .
- Deployment: Configure your execution nodes in
config/axon_manifest.yaml. - Sovereign Mode: Launch the orchestrator with
python -m axon.core --mode secure.
We welcome contributions that adhere to the highest standards of code excellence. All pull requests must include modular unit tests and maintain strict compliance with our security headers. See CONTRIBUTING.md for more details.
