My version of Windows is up to date (Atleast up to April 2024 as per update warning)
I'm running the latest version or the one prior of the Windows 10to7 Transformation Pack (I checked the changelog on the downloads page before opening the issue).
What version of Windows 10 are you using the transformation pack on?
Windows 10 LTSC 2021 19044.6937
What version of the Transformation Pack are you having issues with?
3.6.1A
Summarise the issue
The prompt for UAC doesn't show up, and freezes any program that tries to invoke it
The fix on #153 doesn't seem to work, neither does the SFC workaround stated on the comments, the only temporary workaround i could find was to completely disable UAC prompts via control panel using Safe Mode
Could you try and see if disabling "Windows 7 Style UAC Dim" does something? The issue I believe is happening is that windhawk tries to hook into consent.exe and for some reason fails (missing symbols(?)).
im not exactly sure what happened, i tried to restart into safe mode to fix it by changing the settings to disable UAC again, but when i chose the safe mode option, it restarted into the normal desktop instead, and with UAC working perfectly, even with the dim on, which is rather odd because the windhawk mod is still disabled

it seems that this is the issue, as when changing UAC settings to not dim the screen, it works fine, even with classic UAC

Does it work even with the dim option? If so I have to investigate why the mod/symbols fail.
micewire commentedon Feb 15, 2026
enabling the dim option breaks UAC again, even if the windhawk mod is disabled

For both classic UAC and normal?
micewire commentedon Feb 15, 2026
yup, it breaks both classic and XAML

I think this was an AuthUX issue as other reports of UAC problems got fixed in 3.6.1B. Closing this for now.
