…upon however, the Metric factory class covers all the legit uses for these structs AND has basic data validation, so no need to new up these POCOs by hand consumers hands are forced now as only an interface is returned for the constructed metric instances - ICounter / IKeyValue / ISample / ITiming
under most circumstances, the UdpMessenger and MetricClient will not throw if the API is abused to foster a fire'n'forget logging style API however, if you're not getting output from the system its likely important to know that you have misconfigured the system
