In `escriba.py::_strip_rollup`, the loop overlap calculation has been modified to use `zip` instead of `enumerate`. This delegates iteration handling to C and removes explicit bound checking `i_int < len(...)` entirely. zippushes the loop boundary check to C and is inherently safer and faster when dealing with parallel iteration.📊 Measured Improvement: In micro-benchmarks with extreme cases (100k repetitions with no overlap vs long full overlap strings), the execution time improved considerably.
