First attempt creating something with Jekyll. The goal was to create a blog with a static site generator. The site can be viewed at http://blog.katherinedelorme.com/.

Using Ruby Installer ruby-build "a command-line utility that makes it easy to install virtually any version of Ruby, from source." Learn ruby-build.
Ensure the build environment has proper system dependencies for compiling. Suggested build environment.
Visit Jekyll quick starter.
Install/Check requirements.
Start server in command line
bundle exec jekyll serve
