Self explanatory. So that people don't had to rely on using specific browser to play the game, especially for the ones who had bad PC to emulate games through their browser.

This is not something I can work on at the moment but here are some notes for anyone who wants to wants to pick this up and try making it work. Feel free to submit a PR for this enhancement.

While all of the emulation code is written in c and can be compiled for desktop, all the UI, save conversion and randomization code is written in javascript.

While it would be easy to ship an Electron version of this that ran on desktop I don't think this is what people want as it would have no performance benefits.

Therefore the main work that would need to be done for a high performance version of this is:

• Converting all the save conversion code / warp interception code to C
• Adding an embedded js engine to run the randomizer code
• Re-create the whole UI (probably using SDL as this is what sky emu already uses)

My preference would be to wait for SDH to release their FireRed/Emerald crossover project and for Crystal Dust V3 to get a final release. Combined with my decompilation randomizer code for EX this would let everything work within a single rom (rather than a custom emu). However neither of those project have release dates yet.

Thanks for the reply about the situation. Although it'll may be quite a task, it'll be a worth to wait for someone to actually give it a shot and made it reality.

And as for CrystalDust V3, well... I checked about the game and it seems that the hack's development is on an unknown hiatus since the last commit on the game on Github was 2-3 years ago, and it is unknown if she's still working on it in the background. Actually, I do noticed that she rarely active online in general though, and I haven't go to her Discord server to find out, so take it as a grail of salt.

Crystal Dust development has largely been taken over by Deokushisu. Latest progress can be found here: https://github.com/Deokishisu/CrystalDust/tree/progress

Johto, Kanto and Mt Silver are all done, however there is still some work that needs doing. Sprite changes, music tracks that are not finished and some post game, like tin tower, that is incomplete. They are currently getting testers to help find bugs.

The reason I'd have to wait before porting the maps over is because Crystal Dust is currently the only Decomp version of Johto and the project creators would prefer to get the full version of their hack released before other people start using their assets.
